Based on data sheet guidelines, Shell Alvania G3 is recommended for:

It is formulated with high viscosity index mineral oil and a lithium hydroxystearate thickener, providing excellent mechanical stability and water resistance.

Store barrels horizontally or tightly sealed vertically to prevent ambient moisture contamination and minimize oil bleed.

The lithium soap structure resisted softening and shearing even when subjected to intense mechanical agitation inside rolling element bearings.

Provides excellent rust and corrosion protection for ferrous metals, passing the EMCOR test (0-0 rating) in distilled and synthetic sea water.
